Class 2

10 October 2025

Charlotte: has been a superstar this week, especially in maths. Her focus in our fact families and related facts have blown the grown-ups away. She is also trying hard in every lesson even when the learning gets really tricky. She never gives up and wants to be the best version of herself every day. Charlotte is also showing that she is very proud of what she is doing and taking pride in her work.

Teddy: has been working so hard to be more independent with his learning. He’s been recognising numbers and how they are represented and in one day did 25 questions. WOW! Teddy has also been showing so much enthusiasm for learning, especially in our computing and topic sessions. His concentration and determination to find out how to do things in our computing sessions and trying to remember facts in our topic lessons has shown the grown-ups what a great learner Teddy has been.

Eva-Ann: his person is always honest and tries her hardest. This week she has shared some great ideas in writing about Florence Nightingale and even remembered her parents just wanted her to be a wife, not a nurse. She then used great phonics knowledge to write facts about Florence Nightingale ready for her biography. She also did very well in her maths place value quiz this week, and we are proud of her always following the five golden rules.

Jack: is a very hard-working young man, he is helpful around the classroom and a kind friend. Jack communicates well in class with his peers and always tries to put his hand up to answer questions during the lessons. Jack has been so enthusiastic during our history topic and always wants to know more information, he is setting a really great example to his peers of what a good learner looks like.

Kaydence: is always working quietly and trying her best. She always upholds the values that we teach at St Anne's. She is kind and accepting of others and always tries to play with everyone. In class, she always respects the staff and listens carefully when it's time to listen, and she always completes her work. Her maths this week has impressed the teachers, as she can confidently count in 10s and 1s and even solve some tricky challenges. Also, in writing she has started to create an excellent story about Queen Victoria's Bathing Machine, where she has tried hard to sound out all her ambitious words.

George: is one of our children that always makes good choices. He’s a great listener in class, he tries really hard and accepts any new challenges that learning throws his way. George also extends this outside the classroom too. At breaktimes and lunchtimes he is happy to have anyone join his game and will often make sure to try and include anyone in the games he plays, making sure everyone feels accepted.

Felicity: is kind, hard working and this week she has even been forgiving. We have been so impressed by how settled she is in her learning and so pleased with her attitude. She tries hard in all the subjects but has especially impressed us this week in her maths. She has been confidently, partitioning numbers to 100.

Betsy: This person is kind, caring and has shown how to be a great friend. We have been really impressed with how Besty shares, takes turns in class with equipment and communicating as well as at breaktimes. She has been using her knowledge of forgiveness to understand when things are accidents and making sure others feel okay when an accident happens.

Noah: In class 2 this week, Noah has knocked the socks off his teachers' feet! He has settled into Class two with a smile on his face. He has followed all the instructions, listened carefully and demonstrated how responsible he can be. What a little superstar, well done Noah.
